With the growing trend of activism among millennials, now more than ever students are empowered to use their voices consistently and strategically. How are we, as educational leaders, utilizing this asset? Our students have their own perspectives of our schools and communities. Therefore, the student voice must have its place in all aspects of education. Whether that be in the classroom, building, district, or community leadership level, students must be invited, uplifted, and heard. This session will explore how Minnesota’s White Bear Lake Area Schools incorporate Indigenous student voices into the many levels of education.
