Student's use empathy, human centered design and collaboration to solve a problem or meet a need of an interesting fictional client. Students can follow several design pathways and challenges both academic and social to meet the needs of every learner. This is not a one size fits all process, it has extensions based upon how far your students want to go in every grade level 1-5.
The eventual goal is using empathy and human centered design to identify and solve problems for real life individuals. This process fosters empathy, creativity, resilience and self esteem in your students. Come be a part of human centered design. This is a hands on lesson using Extrodinaires, Dash and Dot robots and MicroBits.
